Marvin W “Marv” Felderman was born on December 20, 1915 in Bellevue, Iowa. He played for Norfolk of the Nebraska State League in 1936 and batted .306 in 89 games. The young catcher spent the next two seasons with Duluth of the Northern League before joining Lenoir of the Tar Heel League in 1939 where he batted .314.

Felderman advanced to Nashville of the Southern Association in 1939 and made his major league debut with the Chicago Cubs on April 19, 1942, appearing in three games before spending the rest of the season with Toronto of the Class AA International League.

Felderman entered military service the following year and was stationed with the Navy at Great Lakes throughout 1943. The following year he served in Hawaii and was stationed at Kaneohe Bay Naval Air Station where he regularly played baseball. He also played in the 1945 Navy World Series in Hawaii.

He was discharged from service at the end of 1945 and played for Milwaukee of the American Association in 1946. He never returned to the major leagues and continued to play in the minors until 1951. 

Marv Felderman passed away on August 6, 2000 in Torrance, California. He was 84.
